The Minister of Employment and Labour has declared that the Main Collective Agreement concluded in the Bargaining Council for the Fast Food, Restaurant, Catering and Allied Trades be extended to non-parties. This means that the conditions specified therein shall be binding on the parties who concluded the collective agreement and on the other employers and employees in that industry that have not concluded the collective agreement.
The collective agreement comes into effect from the second Monday after the date of publication of this Notice (8 January 2021) and for the period ending 31 August 2026. The collective agreement was duly signed in Johannesburg on 16 July 2020.
